What am I missing about these sockets that is worth the high cost?

I do the same thing with eBay items. If someone locally or on a forum seems like they are actually going to buy it, I jack up the price on the eBay listing so that it doesn't sell there until the local person pays (that way I don't loose the watchers if I remove the listing and relist it later). And, if someone pays the $400 or $500, then I'm really not going to complain about that either!

Considering you can buy both of those sets for $52 combined right now from Sears I don't think the seller would have much issue finding you a set.
