I've been wanting that 1/4" set. Good sale. Can anybody comment if the 'module' case is durable enough to last a little while?

The tray the sockets sit in are pretty thin and weak. With moderate use they aren't going to last very long.

I've bought several of the modual sets this year and all the tools have been USA except in the brake tool set.

I tried the coupon code and it didn't take. Also chatted with Sears customer service online.... they said the $42.49 was a price error.

Very happy with the 1/4" set I picked up at the store Saturday. Took a few days for them to get it in but no shipping cost.

make sure you look at the size of the modules before you buy them, they are fairly large and look more like they are designed to display your tools, not organize, I almost bought the modules till I realized a standard set of sockets would take 3 1/2 drawers and a standard set of wrenches would fill another 3 drawers, and thats just basics, not torx or allen or ignition sets.

If you're doing in-store pickup, use code "sears5off50" to save more. Don't use it if you're shipping your item as it will not give you the free shipping.

Nice. Ordered the wrench module. Hopefully I don't get the dreaded 'your order has been cancelled' email.

Hey guys I just got a coupon from my order that I am not going to use. 9700004989164025

it is for TOOLS $15 off of $100 does not apply to clearance or closeout. Someone use this with the discounts on slick deals plus your rewards points and let us know how much you didn't pay for a set of these.

Just got my 1/4" set. The ratchet was scuffed up and had **** stuck to it all around the drive end where oil was leaking out. It looks like it was dropped on a dirty factory floor.

The 6mm has a piece of rectangular looking steel wedged into it, still works but wont fit onto my Hansen tray. I tried driving it out with a punch but that sucker is in there guttentight.

Same here, just missed it. Hopefully it will go on same again by Christmas as I want all 3 sets.

Are they really that worth it? They're 12-point sockets (for the 1/2"), deal is not the hottest, and many of these sockets can be had for much less a piece when getting their tool sets. Am I missing something?

At these prices I would probably pass, but I bought them a few months ago for around $40. It was definitely worth it then! The set is pretty nice if you need some 1/2" sockets and even though I don't need the ratchet it is quite nice and I decided to keep it.

The modules have less skips than most of the mechanics sets I have seen. It also comes with much better ratchets.

I bought the 1/4" set just for the ratchet and the deep sockets, which would have cost me 33% more if I bought them separately. I also have the shallows now I can sell off or keep as spares.
