Craftsman Motorsport Series Screwdriver

Found a craftsman acetate handled screw driver at a pawn shop today. It's like brand new. It's styled differently than what I'm used to, having checkered flags and being black and white, part number 41583M. Best I've found from google is it is called a motorsport edition screw driver. Interested in what craftsman was up to with this line. Any informed input is greatly appreciated.

I recall them being sold as a set sometime around 2005/2006. I’m pretty sure that’s when I purchased my 16 piece set. Mine are stamped with the date code of, “T” which was around that time frame. Not exactly hard to find, but they are neat. The eBay dealers in recent years try to get astronomical prices for them, but from what I’ve seen they rarely succeed.

Just screwdriver sets only from the early 2000's. At one time Craftsman sponsored many drivers in different types of racing including AJ Foyt as a driver and a team owner. They were official tools of Indy Car, NHRA and nascar at many times over the years. What you see is all the differences as they were regular sets just colored like that vs the clear red and blue stripes.
