Hell, that's a Montezuma box; you can tell by the casters under the side locker. It probably doesn't have that stupid GripLatch set-up either.

In toolbox land it's hard to tell who knocked off who first. I have to work tomorrow but, here's a homework assignment for someone who needs something to do. Someone call customer service at waterloo and ask them where their new magnum series is made. You can also call Sears and montezuma too and file a report for all of us tomorrow.

I would say it is definitely a Waterloo but it looks like they added a cab on the end to get the extended length... seems they are defintely trying to compete with the mega boxes from Snapon, Mac and Matco!

I saw those at last years SEMA show. I was under the impression that they were from CHINA. I know for sure they are imported as the catalog even says it.
they appear to be a very nice box and to me they look like a knock off of the snap on boxes

Simple bend sheet metal, but nice slides to make the everyone believe it's a high quality box when fiddeling around with the drawers in the store. They even have a sticker on it: "feel how smooth it glides", well somewhat cheesy isn't it

After all the same story as with all Craftsman pro / Waterloo Magnum boxes.

I couldn't find any that looked similar on the Waterloo site. I had thought Montezuma also, after seeing them in the catalog. Especially that funky angled top box.

The price of the new Craftsman Pro boxes is outrageous. Might as well hit the tool truck...............the old version Cman pro boxes were a decent deal.

Funny, mine is holding up fine, and the "cheap paint" has yet to chip in 7 years.

I completed part of my homework assignment. There's a link when you bring the tool box up on sears.com that has a phone and product questions icon. I clicked on that and a rep from a company called Estarra can call you to answer your product questions. I asked the woman on the phone where the box was made, she put me on hold for a couple of minutes, and returned with the answer, Mexico.
I'm thinking Waterloo has a new factory in mexico cranking out these boxes which brings up another question, why are they so expensive? Granted they are cheaper than their Cornwell brothers, but they're significantly more than say the same Waterloo branded box from Grainger. They do come with a lifetime warranty though from Sears. I don't think they'll sell too many of these.

It don't know the closest thing Snap On has is 108" and cost $16,295
On sears website the 96" craftsman cost $8099 and they must be on sale because when I added it to my cart to see the total it came up to $7289 with free shipping, doesn't sound like a bad deal to me for that size box. JMO
