Bought one on last deal, thinking it was even cheaper, seems good, but I have only played with it, not really used it hard.

There's a tech write-up here on how to fix that. Straightforward.

Yeah, I've got the same complaint - it's way too easy to accidentally bump the forward/reverse switch. I did see that someone posted a "fix it" using a heat gun, but haven't tried it yet.

IIRC they've been on sale for as low as $29.99. I bought 3 of them (for the extra batteries) because buying the whole set (tool, battery & charger) was almost as cheap as just buying an extra battery.

Also got the Nextec florescent work light display model - complete with battery for (I think) $14.99.

I bought when they were $29.99. At that price it's practically the price of a battery alone. At $40 I'd say this is just a warm deal unless you truly need a right angle impact.

I just bought another one for my FIL for his bday. He loves this thing and is constantly borrowing it. Great for working on motorcycles or putting shelves up .

We gave my FIL one as a gift too. Not a bad gift idea for a tool enthusiast, it's unlikely many people have a RAID and only a handful of companies actually make one.
