What do you guys think of those Craftsman pliers with the light? They are in the new catalog, and they are set to come out in June. I am very curious

wow, what's next wrenches with rechargable LED lights in them(sold on 2 goof's garage).

Dan

No I think they should open up an operating room in the middle of the power tools section and start surgically implanting lights into the tips of our fingers.

So there is a new craftsman catalog out? Last time I was at Sears the sales guy said they wont be making them anymore.

Yes there is, I was surprised too. I have yet to get one in the mail, but my mom received one on Friday or Saturday in the mail and she gave it to me.

I too saw this in the new catalog I just received in the mail. I also thought it's just another Craftsman gimmick to appeal to Bob Vila wannabe's.

I mean I love the built-in LEDs on cordless tools but that's a whole 'nother matter. The pliers look bulky and I'd just be replacing batteries all the time. I replace enough batteries in my digital calipers and micrometers, I don't need one more thing that eats batteries I can't recharge.

I already have fingertip LEDs, I am thinking headlamp a better option than putting batteries in a pair of pliers.

who needs it...with all the free HF flashlights most of us have in our shops we can pretty much light up everything!
