Not sure who complained or what they said, but posting on SD is really only a bad thing if it's something that is likely an error or limited in quantity. This isn't, so it doesn't matter if thousands of people take advantage of it.

So sure, I posted the deal on SD. If you don't like me cross posting I'll only post on one site - and it won't be this one.

I think the dislike of Slickdeals comes from the audience. Most of the people on Slick Deals are just resellers/flippers vs. Garage Journal, most of whom are users of the product.

And before anybody says I'm choosing sides, I've never flipped anything posted on GJ, but I have flipped plenty of SD stuff or even Black Friday stuff. Use either one however you'd like.

I understand, but for those people who are putting in the effort to find these items (if limited quantity) or if massive quantities like above, shouldn't that take priority over those who sit on the sidelines and complain? Everyone can go to a store on their off time to look.

Somehow I doubt the HD deals exclusive forum/thread is only full of people buying these things to use them, instead of grabbing 18 light fixtures for a penny to re-sell. Overall, if you find the deal, good for you. Post where you want it to.

OP, the general gist of the deleted message was "not only you posted it on SD, but you posted there before here, and how dare you do something like that? Give the GJ a chance before the rest of the masses."

Overall, I am just tired of the complaining people have on why they cant get these special deals, and how we should be more exclusive, because somehow we are more deserving.
