I picked up the 1/4" and 3/8" ones last week and got a chance to use them this weekend on a few projects. I fell in love with them. I can feel a huge difference with the 84 teeth. The other ratchets I own are 60 teeth GearWrenchs and the raised panel CM, which are like 40 teeth. I ordered the 1/2" premium this morning for $60 shipped! I feel like I will primarily use these ratchets for a while...

I also ordered the 1/2 today thank to you! I've also got the 1/4 and 3/8 and can't wait to complete the set!

I am with you, man. They are my go-tos as well. I don't have the 1/4", but want to pick one up.

I love the handle design and the look, feel, and performance of these ratchets. I was just using some today while taking off the exhaust on my '76 Trans Am.

I think they are too pricey... if they come down on price then I will buy one..

I have a Matco AFR88T ratchet. it was on sale last month.. for 65 dollars.

love mine too. they are my primary non-comfort grip choice (any oily/greasy job). i am a little concerned as there have been numerous reports of lockups with them, but mine have been totally reliable. LOVE the handle design.

I am with you man! I screwed up and bought the 1/2" thinking I would be fine with just that (I have other 3/8 and 1/4 stuff, mostly chinese and taiwan). I later ended up picking up the other two lol.

I agree. I used my set (have the 1/4, 3/8, and 1/2) this weekend to do some simple work and they feel very good in your hands. I usually use an FHLF80 and THLF72 for jobs like suspension and interior, but these should fit in nicely. Plus, don't have to worry about dinging up the snap-on's too much with dirty work.

I have warrantied two (one 3/8" and one 1/4") that locked up. What I found was that the recess where the gear/pawl fit had not been milled deep enough (or maybe the pawl was too thick/out of tolerance) and that if the screws for the cover plate were tight, as they should be, they would prevent the pawl and or ratchet gear from moving which left the ratchet locked or free-wheeling. The replacements have been perfect, just a QC issue.

I own quite a few fine tooth ratchets, matco 88s an armstrong w/88 tooth kits ( exact same ratchet), craftsman premiums, and snapon dual 80s. The matco/armstrongs are my definite favorites but the craftsman premiums are a close second. I just like the way they feel alot better than snap ons dual 80s. I really hope craftsman doesn't discontinue them and keeps making them in the US
