One of my local Sears has the Craftsman Professional T40 screwdrivers on clearance for $1.47, normally $9.99. I took the opportunity to snap up a couple more while they're still available. Looking at the stock of Craftsman Professional drivers at two Sears locations I've been at recently, it is safe to say that they are probably on the way out.

Shame, as these are light years better than their regular screwdrivers.

You wouldn't be interested in selling and shipping one of those, would you? My store marked them down too, but were out before I was able to buy one.

I love the pro series if they are on the way out which i believe too how will they warranty them?

They would give you the closest equivalent currently available. For better or worse. I've swapped a bunch of stuff out that was no longer made. And sometimes I come out a winner, and sometimes I come out a loser.

Didn't see a T40 on the rack at my local store. They had a T25 marked down to $3.** but all the others were full price (and prices rang up as marked).

This is highly YMMV.

They are on clearance, but the stores where I've seen them have prices around $5.97. That was as recently as yesterday.

It's likely that they drop from that price directly to $0.97 and are immediately sold, so that is why I never spot them.

My semi-hot deal was buying a Craftsman string trimmer for $9.97 earlier this week. Several trimmers were on a clearance rack, with an original price from $80 to $150. Sounds great, right?

But all were missing batteries, chargers, string reel and reel covers. Despite looking like they took standard Craftsman batteries, they were actually unique batteries. While still available as spares, a replacement battery ($50-$80) and charger ($50) is well above the on-sale price of an equivalent current model.
