Anyone else have them? I picked up a set for $24.99 today figured id give them a try and see if theyre any good. Time to stop using pliers to pull cotter pins!

Im not a big craftsman fan but i do like the older us made prosessional stuff. So for those of you who have experience with them are the good or are they junk?

They seem legit. The PRO series stuff is pretty nice. My problem is, I lose them. I buy the crappiest ones I can find. :)

I digg the pro stuff especially this type of handle screwdrivers picks and prybars. Not bad for $25 camt justify going snapon for a tool that wont really see and high stress situations to begin with.

I have those and like them. But I have broken the tips off a few times, they are really brittle. I finally bought a proper cotter pin puller pick and that stopped the breakage...

I just bought them not all that long ago, so my long term evaluation isn't there, but they're fine. Interestingly enough, the handles, while styled the same are a little more plastic feeling than the screwdrivers.

I think it's a great deal, they're always priced nicely. Wish I would have got them a few years ago, I believe they were 19.99 on sale. Looks like the shanks are black oxide but they were chrome before.

Maybe I'm wrong on that but I could have sworn they weren't always in black.

I just bought them at a local Sears. I frequent (troll) three different Sears and while the list is 29.99, I see these for 24.99 all the time. Patience allowed me to pay 20.99 last week only at one store: others were still at 24.99.
Haven't used them yet but they feel good in the hand.

I have the other sets, the skinnier handles. I don't think they are the same materials but since these were mentioned to be brittle, the ones I have are not. They have a 'pencil' shaped handle, dont have a link right now. They have done well for me.

Use caution pulling cotter pins with them. Craftsman makes a dedicated cotter pin puller. Depending on the size and strength of the pins you plan on pulling you may want to check that out. Or you could make an ultra fancy sharpened and bent screwdriver like I did.

Are you talking about the mini pick set? If so that is a great set, I think they get a bad rap on here because people expect to use them for sizes they were not designed. The pencil reference is spot on. I usually use a pencil style grip on them.

Those CM Pros are excellent. I've used and abused my set for years now, none have broken (lost one though).

I have them, and like others, have broken the tips off a few times. Once was just an accidental drop to the floor but the 90* tip hit just right and snapped off. Sears is good about replacing. I like them, especially for the price.

I guess that's a good way to describe them. The hooks are smaller size but the shafts are still pretty long, so they don't really register to me as 'mini'.

Can't say that I have always used them in a 'mini' capacity though. I'm sure if their intended use was mini, then I have abused them and they're still just fine.

You are right, sorry for some reason I thought they were called mini.

If you compare the hook sizes with that pro set they are much smaller.

I have them and use them a lot. They are made by mayhew. So th same as mayhew and Matco. Maybe Mac too but I could be wrong. I do know the business end of them is identical to my buddies Matco set(made by mayhew).
