Are these worth the upgrade over the standard Craftsman pry bars? I bought that set one sale for $13 a while back, but I have really been wanting these ever since I saw them on sale a few days ago. I'm trying to talk myself out of them since I don't have any good surprise points to use on them, but I may pull the trigger if you guys think it's worth the upgrade.

Yeah, the number is small, but there are still a few. Actually, the other pry bar set has recently been improved with striking caps, but these are still nicer.

That's what I thought...even after seeing how junky the HF look in person...that is until the handle snapped on one the first time I used it and I nearly got hurt fairly bad. HF bars look like, feel, and indeed are junk. Not the same steel and definitely not quality handles.

I've had both sets for years and still use the red handles a lot. I like using them when working on something that is grimy. The hard plastic cleans off so much easier. It is also nice having two of the same size for prying on both side of something.

I still use the little 6" prybar from the HF set several years later. The rest of them had the cheap plastic handles brake up so be careful when using them.

Weird, So you feel the HF ones are as good of quality, and work just as well.

no, its hard the closest HF to me is almost an hour especially with Christmas traffic.
I really don't get it, There is one in Washington PA, one in Stubenville OH,
But none in Wheeling,WV, or St Clairsville OH.
Now in no kind of expert in projected sales or anything, But I can tell you this.
There are a LOT of DIY's in the Ohio Valley.
I would think a HF would do quite well in the Wheeling Area,
