You know the same manufacturer can make different grades/etc., right? Also, Stride is Milbar...

And your point? In the end the "imperial" branded craftsman, Sk, Mac, KD don't compare to the forged Snappy's. I own multiples of the imperial OEM'd pliers in a variety of colors and they don't compare to the snap On's. I can't say for certain that Imperial doesnt doesn't manufacture them for Snap on, I can say with personal experience that they are much different than the rebranded ones you linked in post #33, mainly in regards to heft/handle/thickness. I'm not bad mouthing the imperial OEM'd ones, they served me well for many years.


Actually Imperial is the house brand for the snap ring pliers, milbar came much later and merged with stride.

Either I am really looking but the set I ordered, does not have some of these issues you are describing. Yes, some of them, one may be a hair larger in mm than the other, or one pin is tweaked slightly to the left......for hell, I'm happy for a *24 piece set*. Woot Woot, I did not even know that each one could be flipped over and made into a External Plier.

Just an FYI Sears dumped all their made in the USA auto tools in September or October. I believe they are new skus and made in Taiwan.

I have had the lang 12 piece set for over a year and use it daily. Its not snap on or knipex but its pretty darn good and I have no complaints and recommend it 100%. I think I paid about $80 off of amazon.

Kastar's does say its made in USA on tooltopia, and the product number is the same as Lang's (3495). I'm guessing theyre the same.

Anyone have these? I'll be getting them at some point unless I hear something.
