I recently completed my set of Cman pros. I took a whole day and drove to every sears within 60 miles of me. I am only missing a few drivers but i have a full torx set.

The handles tend to be big for normal hands. I have big hands and the handles fit me perfectly.

Anyone who buy that set for that much coin is a fool

I think you guys are just a bunch of cheap SOBs! :) Now, if you're used to China junk, then the price might shock you, but you have to remember not everybody is poor, and $8 a piece doesn't sound too bad to me.

The Craftsman Professional screwdrivers are actually very nice... the handle is as confortable as anything Snap-On offers. My only complaint is the on the smaller tip sizes I would like a little larger handle and the stubbies I would like a shorter handler, but aside from those complaints, they have been my go-to screwdriver since they've come out and remain so today....and I'm a screwdriver snob!

I didn't think the price was out of line when I was trying to buy this set about a year ago...

I've got about $ 300.00 in the Proto Yellow handles I bought, when the Craftsman Pro's were "unavailable"...

But I didn't get any pliers!!!

And I really liked/wanted the piers!!!

And the adjustable wrenches!!!

This is complete speculation but,... ...i think Ideal Industries made a long term decision to take control of the less than Snap-On price, USA made, screwdriver market. I don't think that Sears made the conscious choice to stop selling the USA made professional line of screwdrivers. If I was Ideal I would increase prices at the end of my contract with sears knowing that there was an extremely loyal USA only mfg. consumer, who will pay more than Sears prices for their quality product. My limited knowledge of this is my own personal desire to have a quality set of USA made screwdrivers. I researched the options, narrowed the best value option down to the sears pro line, tried to buy, and was been disappointed by the discontinuation of the product. After looking at similar options, I got on this forum and researched the S-K line of screwdrivers. That's when I found out they are the same thing with a higher price tag. I have not yet bought the S-K drivers but they are the most economical, USA made, comfort style drivers, that are easily available. Except the old Sears Pro screwdrivers.
