I have a 4-1/2” Craftsman “Professional” vise (Model 951888) in process of being restored. I would like to replace the metal “Craftsman Professional” nameplate.

I have contacted Sears, Craftsman, and Sears Parts Direct.com and keep coming up empty-handed. It’s like this vise was sold in Sears stores until about 2015, but there is no documentation or replacement parts available from Sears for it. Would anyone be aware of who I could contact to get parts, a schematic diagram of the vise, etc? I would even be interested in buying this model new-in-box if someone bought several of this vise at close-out prices...and are ready to part with an extra one. I would add photos to this posting, but am new to this website, and haven’t noticed how to add photos.

Several years back, I bought a couple of extra sets of replacement jaws from Pony/Jorgensen, if I remember correctly, I reached out to Craftsman and they told me contact them as that was the oem supplier. The jaws fit perfectly. I'd email the pics of the vise, etc.

I dug out the vise and here is what I found.....replacement Jaws were from Pony...part #number 51888-01. I think I paid around 27.00 for them.

Sorry, I just barely missed the one on Cripe that you mentioned. Any other thoughts? Thanks,

Thanks for the information on jaws availability. With that jaws parts number, looks like they were made specifically for this vise. I found sombe (going by the sizes...no luck with model number) on various websites that when ordered, they shipped directly from the Wilton website. Of course, a little more costly too. Thanks, rwaylonp

I’m still in the market for a good deal on the Craftsman Professional Vise (Model 951888). I’ll try to move more quickly on any tips I’m furnished this time.
