Well I want to Sears Saturday. They were having a 1/2 price sale on their Craftsman Professional 5 piece Mini-Pliers set. I bought the set and when I get home with them I see that they are made in China. I never would have thought that Craftsman Professoinal tools would be made in China. :headscrat What a bummer!

Yeah they just recently started branding those as professional but the older set with the blue handles were made in china as well. These stainless mini-pliers have been made there for as long as I can remember (havent been around TOO long however)

Well if you dont like it take them back....and hunt for the Channellock mini pliers....they arent making them anymore....but I bet a few toolstores carry them

Plus its hard for US manufacturers to compete with those pliers against the Chinese....most people think they are more "disposable" and they dont think to spend the money to get good ones....if I am doing some precise work and I need minature pliers I will spend the extra pennies and get decent ones.....I have 2 Wiha's and 1 Channellock mini pliers

Yes the pliers say Craftsman on the handles. They are top of the line in every way as far as I can tell. They even came in a very nice zippered case. I just couldn't believe Craftsman Professional anything would be made in China. I have been noticing some of Craftsman tools are coming from China such as the sets of bits and drivers they sell to use with cordless drivers. Their Craftsman brand c-clamps are now made in China. I normally look for the flag or made in USA but I never considered looking this time beacuse it was branded as Craftsman Professional. I try to only buy made in the USA and that is the main reason that I buy Craftsman tools. I guess I have learned that no matter if it's branded Craftsman or Craftsman Professional I still have to look to make sure it's made in the USA.

Yeah, I could take them back but I won't. I should have looked before I bought them. I really didn't need them it was one of those 1/2 price deals that a tool junkie like me just has to run in and buy. Lesson Learned!

Makes you sick, doesn't it?! Actually, the Chinese are capable of making some really nice stuff.

I worked for a company for twenty years. It was bought out by a company called "Danher". I left shortly after they purchased the company.

My friends that are still there are outsourcing their own jobs to China. They travel there and show the Chinese how to do their jobs.

The company that owns Craftsman is Danaher. They own snapon too.

But I continue to buy craftsman tool's.
