Hey guys just picked up this table and chairs from my friend. It's been sitting on the side of the house baking in the sun. Which from the sun the cushions on stools and the top of the pub table is cracking and ruined. I'd like to hear your guys ideas on the best way to fix it up. Like I said they were free so I believe it's worth it to refurbish them.

Pop out the cushions and tear of the cloth. Inspect the foam. If use sale go to FDIC store and get a yard of whatever you want staple from underside by attacking from 180 degree spots and then progress around the perimeter.

For the top, 1/4 steel would be cool. It would tarnish over time. Or use wood and paint to the color of your choice.

Per PT Doc, the cushions are easy. I would get new closed cell foam and use leather or denim to cover them. With regards to the table top, it looks like some kind of vinyl is peeling off the subtrate. Is the substrate metal? Is it removable? If metal and removable, you may be able to polish or powder coat it. A lot of sign shops can reproduce the graphic in vinyl to be put back on if desired.

Free ? Even though they need work, I'll give you a "you ****". I think that was about a 250-300 dollar set when new.

I nice round piece of aluminum would make a nice top.

That's a screaming cool score for FREE !!!

You darn tooting that's a YOU **** !!!

I'd take the seats off and have an upholstery shop add another layer of sturdy foam and cover with leather or imitation leather. I'd just buff up the chrome.

For the table, maybe save the black logo (cut out oblong shape), and put on top of red circle then cover both with plexiglass top.

Show us pics once you get them fixed up.
