I picked up this 1/2" Craftsman ratchet at a pawn shop for $5.00. I have not seen this pattern ratchet before. It has the large push button release. It is marked 43773 EE 7. It is in great shape and will be my new go-to 1/2" ratchet. Is it made in USA? When were these made? Thanks for any info!

It's missing the back. There was a black piece around the release button that says Craftsman.

You see them on ebay and around here and there. I have never owned one, but IIRC it's designed so that the mech pops out with no tools. On yours, the cover plate is missing.

I appreciate the info! Can you order the missing cover plate from Sears? I have two other C/M 1/2" ratchets (including the RP) but I really like the feel of this one better!

I agree with the timeframe that Mudflap said. I ahve a 1/4" drive like that from that era.

While holding in the quick-release button push on the drive end and the guts pop right out.
Reassembly is the reverse. Hold in the button and push it back in.
I seldom use that ratchet anymore these days but it served me well.
