Hi All,
Was down a rabbit hole and gained some info on a Craftsman Ratcheting Adapter that I have. It wasn't working correctly so armed with YouTube and a pair of snap ring pliers I was able to get the adapter apart. I destroyed the snap ring/retaining ring in the process. A trip to 3 hardware stores this morning as well as a search of McMaster Carr yielded no results. The snap ring pictured below is similar shape/different size than needed but a idea of the shape/style.

S-K ratchets have similar shaped clips. They are different sizes depending on the drive size.

Thanks Don,
The pictured snap ring is one I had in spare parts for a 3/8" dr SK, I'll have to disassemble a 1/2" drive ratchet to compare. Then I will atleast be on the right track. Thanks for the info.

I'm hoping to try an S-K 1/2" today....got busy this week. Also have a care package from a fellow GJer,by eye they look small, but I do appreciate the assistance.

I can officially confirm the S-K 1/2" snap ring is a no go. I'm really at a loss here folks as what to try next. I've also tried Craftsman RHFT snap rings from 3/8" and 1/2" ratchets and no joy. The silver lining is I was able to replace the roll pin on the ratchet selector( reason for disassembly ,in the first place) and have everything lubed and working very well, I just need a snap ring to hold it together.
