Craftsman rebuilds

I am actually trying to find parts for a few of my "project" tools. But the reason I am here right now is to see if I can't find some help with a Craftsman rolling tool box. Especially the friction slides and stops. I can not find a model number on the one box I need the parts for the most (the bottom rolling part) although I did find the Pat# 3393951 but have had no luck locating the slide stops.

My other project that I am pretty happy with is the "old" Craftsman RAS I built a cabinet for it and set it up just fine so onward and whatever.
I hope this forum will be a help.
I have pics if that helps. And no I can't afford the cool toys I wish I could.

It sounds to me like you already have the cool toys.
Post a picture of the box, someone here may be able to help you figure out the original maker of the box. If it's Waterloo, you may be able to get parts directly from them.

Thanks for the words of encouragement. I will post pics in the morning specifically of the box I need stops and maybe a drawer slide too. Wanna see my RAS? LOL I am OK with it but still need some things to make it really cool.

I added some pics of my projects in albums on my profile page, a couple of the RAS that I could use one or two things for but it is not top on my list right now.
The project that is top on my list is the Craftsman tool boxes I bought. I will put all the drawers back in and take a photo if that helps but here is a photo of the bottom box. The only identifier I can find so far is the patent #3393951 the BIG issue are the drawer stops, it is missing 6. I have checked ebay, found one drawer slide but he doesn't have any stops. Wrote to Waterloo and explained my situation to them, (I understand they make a lot of the craftsman boxes) haven't heard from them yet.
Pics added as attachments hope it works.....

You need a shot of the whole box for someone to tell you what model it is, but those are common. As for cool,, I still use one I bought used 25 yrs ago. There aint nuthin wrong with that, move on to something else vs widhing for another one.

But I like the project tool thing and take. Even today that box cost some money, fixing it up and a spray can of paint is a great investment and owned outright. You picked a project that pays for itself.

Thanks, I will take some pics today with all the drawers in place, I did see one very similar in the Vintage Tool Box thread and wrote to the owner of one hope he knows the model#. Finding the stops might be impossible so I might have to figure out a homemade stop of some sort.

First - That "Sears Best" sticker is something that Sears used in the late 70's. My 1977 block grinder had one. I don't know when they started or when it ended, but that would be a good starting point for the age of the box.

Second - By "stops", do you mean the black clips that go at the end of the slide bar ?
If so, Waterloo should be able to help. I hear that they have the lowest price for them, and that they fit most (but not all) boxes. Rather than an email, try calling their customer service next week, you may get faster service that way. Ask to purchase the "little black slider clips" for toolboxes. I'm serious, that's what other members say to tell them instead of a part number. They will know what you're talking about.

Jake!! Whoo-HOOoo I was hoping I would hear that! I am going to call them Monday morning. Your correct the "stops" I am referring to are the "little black clips" two of the boxes have the same kind of clip and the middle one is quite a bit different but I will sort it out with Waterloo.
Thank you for the info BIG TIME!

The bottom box is the one that needs the most work, and am wondering what used to go on the front of the middle drawer of the top box, it has two keyholes that obviously held something.

The bottom box is late 70's or early 80's. The top box is earlier. Late 60's or early 70's. The colors and badges tell the story.

The hole in the middle drawer of the top box would have been for mounting a badge with the Craftsman name and a wide "V" underneath. Just like the cropped image I stole from the internet.

Waterloo had the right clips for my bottom chest, which looks the same as the OP's.
Waterloo used 2 styles of clips, but the other one is no longer available.
Give them a call.
