I have an older roll away cabinet that I have owned since i was about 13 ( bought from a neighbor for $25). I would like to re-condition the box with a new paint job and some new casters. I want to get the casters that match my other homeowner chest that I have. They are 4" x 2" casters. The sears website only lists 5" and 6" as available for sale. Anybody know how i can contact them to get them ordered? I don't have any of the manuals from my newer box and thus no phone number. Sears parts online didn't have anything listed for casters.

Anybody know if they sell matching red paint?

this cabinet has the casters I would like to get:

You could take the model number from the box in your link with you to your nearest Sears repair center and order them. Luckily we have one a few blocks away. The unfortunate reality that I've experienced is they are ridiculously high on any type of repair part(s) I've tried to order. The wife wanted to buy new grates for a (Kenmore) cook top we bought a few years ago. They wanted $90.00 each plus shipping for new ones. :wtf: We paid $320.00 for it when we bought it new.

I don't know why you'd want 4" casters; they're harder to swivel and they don't roll over obstructions near as well. I'd suggest getting the Colson Performa casters for ease of movement and the quiet ride.

I guess i just want them to be the same as on my other box. Once i get the boxes in place i don't move them that much. They will also look much better then the ones that are on there.

Do you have a link for these Colson Perfoma casters?

i might have what you need. I just bought a Craftsman box and I am not using the casters. When I get home, I will open the caster box and take a pic and measure the size of them. I will let you know.

Thanks
Steve S.

I have 2 roll aways, they typically sit next to each other. I don't want to connect them together.

79schaefer - please let me know what you find.

I'd like them to the the SAME as are on my newer rollaway.
The colson perfoma's look nice, but most likely be out of my price range for a set of casters.

Thanks for looking 79schaefer.

I got the model number for my newer rollaround and there was a phone number to call for parts. Going to call today and see how that pans out.

Well I called sears and the caster's were 9.99 each for the ridgid and 15.62 each for the swivel. I'd need 2 of each for a total of about 50 bux plus tax and shipping probably too. That isn't going to happen, I could just go buy a new homeowner rollaway for $100.

I guess ill just check out harbor freight and go from there; and have to deal with the fact that they arent the same.
