Ibhave the following router that needs brushes. The only replacement available are for the 320 series. Does anyone know if this series will fit my router and where I can obtain the correct brushes?

Might be a longshot but check local hardware stores. I found brushes for an old belt sander at mine. They had one of those compartment drawers full of common sizes.

according to a web search these brushes are supposed to cross reference .
brushes are easily filed to make larger ones fit. just need to have same cap on them with approx same length of brush, spring etc/
but my experience with Craftsman routers was not very good. might be time to look for a new one .
are the brushes bad from wear or is the armature shorted & burning the brushes ?

Our only hardware store doesn't have any brushes to match. This old router has been in the family for a long time. It hasn't been turned on in a decade or two. Tried it yesterday and the brushes just crumbled.

315 was Ryan

320 was Chervon (Asian) per the list. They might fit, but I'd be surprised.

I'd measure the hole size, and look at what you have left for attachment points, and start Google searches for something similar or bigger, then file or sand down.

My Ace has loose brushes in a compartmentalized box also. Maybe search a bit further than your local hardware, or search Aces website, and find the closest in stock.

eBay has options too
