Craftsman Sabre saw stuck blade

The saw blade is stuck in the 'chuck', of my Craftsman LED Sabre Saw, Model 320 17255, 506H015927. I have tried all kinds of stuff to get it out. Any hints????? I really like the power of this tool, and do not want to replace it.

What type of chuck is it? The older 'quick change' chucks can be a pain (ask me how I know). That said, you might try un-plugging the tool and then pressing the blade 'release' lever while pressing the blade tip down on piece of wood.

Might try putting blade in vise, then push or pull with release lever open. Usually see them jammed in to things, but not always.

Thanx, guys. Banging the blade tip on a big rock, and trying to twist the chuck worked! The red 'collar' must be rotated to release the blade. I once tried to shake the saw to release the blade while turning the collar while the saw was plugged in. Touchy trigger!
Mashed my thumb and pointing finger. Yes, I know all the safety rules, but I don't always use the sense the good Lord gave me!
