Sears seems to be having a pretty good sale for the 4th. Some good deals to be had. I would post separately but this seems a lot more efficient

I just bought a router and needed a basic set, googled for a while and everyone said to get 5-10 bit sets then buy the others as you need them. They said Sears bits were ok but MLCS on Amazon was recommended for cheap starter without breaking the bank. If that helps anyone.

If you have a 1/2" shank on your router I would look for a 1/2" shank set... It is nice to have a bigger set of so-so bits around for those times you want to try new styles without spending a fortune, then buy good bits for the ones you use all the time or for projects where you can't afford to have a bad edge.
