Dont know if I am going to pick one up or not but, does anybody know how well it holds screwdrivers like the old Snap-On squared black plastic handle ones? The packaging shows the Craftsman rounded clear screwdrivers.. Im just wondering.

I also want to pick up that folding side tray they have. That could be useful.

.

They won't work for snappy screwdrivers (or any other hex shank). I guess one could try to modify the holder???

Works well for crafty screwdrivers though

Another thing about the Craftsman screwdriver holder if used on a daily basis, the foam holding part wears and/or relaxes enough that it starts to not hold the drivers very well.

OK if you are a weekend wrencher that uses once ever so often.

If is this one, where the blade meets in the holder, it is a foam insert. You have to handle one in person to see what I am talking about.

It "OK" for limited use but if you take your screwdrivers in and out numerous times on a daily basis, the foam will wear and loose it's elasticity.

Wow, I did not know that. I figured it was just plastic and the screwdrivers snapped into it.

Thank you for the info!

Not a fan of the screwdriver holder by Craftsman. Just like others have said, it wears and doesn't hold well. For screwdriver holders, look at the Ernst 5310. It's a more flexible plastic. USA made and is a reliable holder.
