I came across this Craftsman snowblower that was being thrown away after a small garage fire. I gladly gave this beauty a new home in my garage. After stripping off all the crispy parts (and in some cases prying off resolidified plastic) I gave it a through inspection and found the engine block had some superficial heat damage, but was in excellent shape. I went ahead and tore it down and rebuilt it just to be sure.
After ordering some new parts from Sears, (Only the plastic parts.....I can't bring myself to pay $3.00 for a bolt from Sears when I can buy the same thing for $.60 anywhere else) I got out the old wire wheel and got rid of all the paint.
I decided to go with an Orange and Black paint scheme, which I think turned out pretty sharp. It fired up on the second pull and has ate it way through any amount of snow I take it through.
