closeout? what, are they making room for the chinese made tools? i hope this isn't the beginning of the end... i need to grab a set of their low profile ratchets while they're still around.

Heck when I bought my 204pc set it was 89.99 + tax used the SEARS5OFF50 to save another $5. They do these sales all the time.

33192 192pc set is $99.99 I believe, the 37204 set is $129.99, but that may just be online prices???

that's just on-line prices. i got the ad today too and the 204 is $99.99. The 302 pc. set for $199.99 comes with the 3 thin profile ratchets. Which makes me kinda want to spend the extra $100. I might buy the 204 though because i haven't seen em much cheaper than this.

That 204 piece set isn't anything special, its similar to the 154 piece set just loaded up with hex keys and bits.

I showed my mom the 204 piece set. She said i can get it!!! I might talk her into the 302 but idk. Either way, you get over 100 sockets with the 204 piece set which is better than the 60 i got right now.

Wanna send your 60 sockets over here :)

Right now I have 0 sockets that are my own, but I have my dads collection, which right now is good enough. Those are the only thing he has that I have to borrow anymore, except for really random tools like a flint striker. I am saving up for the set craftsman sells, I think its 299 pieces IIRC, and costs about $400. Really isn't too bad, about $1.30 per socket, that includes deep and shallow!

64 piece socket set at harbor freight for $25! i just bought it to get me by until i found a good deal on a craftsman one. This is my 4th month with the HF sockets and i've abused them and they've worked well, but i just want the craftsman for the conveniance of the warranty.

Yea, the craftsman warranty really can't be beat for the price of the tools. Yea the snap on truck comes to you if you own a business, but for me, an 18 year old kid with a small tool collection, sears is all I need.

Merkava, why do you hate Craftsman so much? I can't seem to find a thread where you aren't bashing Craftsman products. Kind of annoying, actually. In fact, instead of reading threads, I"m going to go work on my car.

Spend the extra 100 smackers. Those thin ratchets are worth the extra money.

I didn't check the details of the sets, but if one has the thin-profile ratchets, I would get that set. I agree those are good ratchets.

i have the 204 pc set as my trunk box (with SO ratchets I had) my ex got me fro xmas a few years ago and mostly SO/SK/cman in my garage box... for $99 bucks for the 204pc im thinking i may get another so i have more 'complete' sets at home in stead of blowing $1-2 per socket at the fleamarket for old odds n ends i can have a new set for $99 (thats 50 cents a tool) less what ever i sell the pieces i dont want for on here or on ebay as i fill in the somewhat complete snapon sets i currently have... if only i thought if sooner i would have saved a ton of money.

before someone bashes me on the cman stuff, as a rule i prefer SO as its much better but cman has easier warrenty and im a weekend wrencher not a mechanic... tho i do prefer good tools.

Also on black friday those tool kits are the same price (50% off). They are a good deal, I think I spent probably 3x the price buying everything separate for different projects.

When you get more money save up for a torx socket set, plier set, and a good torque wrench. On black fridays sears usually has screw drivers and pliers half off btw.

I already have a 302 piece set new in the box from the last time it was $200. At this price, I'm strongly considering another.

Yes, I am hoarding them for the eventual day when US made tools are a memory. At least my future child(ren) will have nice American made tools.

Its hard to resist the temptation to open the box and borrow those ratchets though!!

Somebody page Stuey, we need coupons or something to sweeten the deal!
