Buy them if you want to. If you think it's bogus when you finally get to see them, talk to the seller. He has a lot of good feedback, and rest assured, they are plain scared to get a negative in there, so he'll definitely help you out if you have a problem. You can also return it. Remember, if you recieve them, and they aren't REAL craftsman sockets, you can file a complaint. His listing says that they're craftsman brand all over it, so you're good to go. No "shady" wording there.

They are unused. Brand-new. Quality is good. They're probably not the ones with the lazered-on sizes, but buy a socket organizer and you won't have any issues with that anyways. Made in the USA alright, and if they aren't, get your money back.

I bought my craftsman USA sockets off this exact seller , he is 100% legit.
They come packaged in only a plastic bag which may be one of the way they keep the costs down.Still the quality of the actual sockets is pretty good.

I just don't like the double groove on the female side. Works just fine with quick release ratchets, but with regular ratchets no fun.

Second hand Craftsman sockets are not worth what new Craftsman sockets are. 50 is not a good price. It is a fair price.

Craftsman sockets are made in Apex, NC.

The seller probably bought a large set and is splitting them up.

Exactly. People making a living off buying the mechanic's tool sets on sale, then breaking them up, and selling them on eBay.

I've purchased bag sets off E bay before.

First, all the tools have been as described.

They save a lot on the shipping by putting the bag of sockets in a flat rate box.
This results in the sockets bouncing against each other in transit, so expect micro scratches.

Aside from that, which I didn't care about, buying Craftsman sockets by the bag on E Bay beats the tar out of retail.

You can also buy them that way at lots of swap meets, usually at 1-2 bucks a socket.

If you need the sockets, buy them and don't worry about it, at his feedback you have little to no worries.

As far as I know, Craftsman sockets have always been made in the US. Those look like the older sockets that aren't dual marked. They went through a phase with laser etching instead of the engraving, but now they have both. If you buy sockets in sets, or even straight from APEX, they come in a bag. He probably buys the bigger sets on sale or outlet clearance and sell the pieces. The good news is that Craftsman is one of the few manufacturers that offers the lifetime warranty to anyone other than the original purchaser.

I guy I used to work with previously worked for Sears and they (at least at that time) could buy the open tool sets (those missing stuff or raided for warranty) pretty cheap. He would put sets together and sell them at flea markets for a good price and still make money, I wonder if the employees can still do this and is this where these are coming from?
