I wonder if it has always been there? I don't know, I'm not a Craftsman guru. If it was added later, at least they did a nice, clean job of it. Still a neat piece though.

Back in the dark ages(1994), I worked in a machine shop with a guy who made a Craftsman ratcheting tee handle similar to this one by cutting the handle off of one and welding it to the head of another. Worked great with lisle tap sockets!

I saw that a few days ago and wondered if it would go for as much as they usually do because of the hole drilled in it, and it is engraved. Well, there are bids.

Indeed rare. In fifty years of flea markets, pawn shops and garage sales, I don't recall ever seeing one of those. Having seen it, I can't picture the application where it would be the best tool for the job. Evidently, neither could very many others.

thnx, jack vines

SPARK PLUGS. That is the only tool I will use to put in a plug. It goes in quick and I will only tighten them to wrist tight anyhow. NOTHING is better in my eyes. I got a deal on mine. Auction in a box of mixed sockets for $27.50.

When I was at Sears in the tool dept for 7 years; I took in a incredible amount of vintage/current ratchets for warranty returns! I only ran across "ONE" of those speeder ratchets in that time... they must have not made that many! The one I took in; did not have a hole in it, not stock, IMHO! :)
