I had a full set of these same basic ratchets (except mine said "Lifetime" on the handle) and enjoyed them for many years until the mechanisms started wearing out and they would "break away" under load at the most unopportune times. There was a lot of slop in the mechanisms on these which contributed to the wear in my opinion. My 1/2" and 3/8" drive units saw a lot of use, but the 1/4" drive really hadn't, but it too would "pop" when you put any stress on it - neat concept, great handles but poor ratchet mechanism design in my opinion. Unfortunately rebuild kits weren't available for them by the time they failed.
I ended up trading mine in in years ago when the thin profile fully polished 60-tooth ratchets came out. At first the salesperson wasn't going to let me have anything other than the cheap round handle chromies in trade. I told him to get a manager because my ratchets were the most expensive ones made back when I bought them and I would accept no less than the most expensive ratchets in the store in trade. Fortunately the manager was an older guy who had been with Sears for a long time and knew what I had were once the best/most expensive ones they sold. Needless to say I walked out with the thin profile ratchets
If you don't want it as a collectible, either sell it and get something better or trade it in on the new 84-tooth ratchet.
