They have a cult following for some unknown reason to me. That's real good money for a set of 20 year old plus Craftsman ratchets. I hope the seller gets paid. You can put those ratchets up with the Snap on hard handled screwdrivers, anything snap on pink or lime green as being able to usually draw insane money. It's a mystery.....:headscrat

There doesn't have to be anything great about something to a collector. Too many collectors have more money than brains. It doesn't matter if they are collectinng tools, knives, or WWII memorabilia.

I had a set of those years ago. Finally gave them away since the snap ring holding the guts in kept coming loose. Had to put it back on after about every bolt. Got tired of it and GAVE them away. Should have held out and sold them on E-bay!

That is one of the reasons I will not use any Craftsman newer than BE series!

Not into collectibles of any kind. Don't have the money to spend on something I can't use and nowhere to put stuff just to look at. Doubt seriously whoever bought these things plans on taking them to the shop/garage and putting them to work.

whats wrong with pink snapon tools :p ? atleast im sure no one will walk off with them if there pink :D
With the amount of money pink SO tools bring on ebay I would be more concerned with them disappearing than the more common colors.

I have the 3/8 model.Don't particularly like it,the selector switch always seems to get in the way.

Glad to hear someone would pay that much! Though I can't imagine why. I think you're referring to these. I bought these about 25 yrs ago when they first came out. Didn't know better then, about ratchets, and thought they were OK for my purposes as a bike mechanic. Only used two of them, very lightly and for a very short time. But now I would consider them a novelty. Functional but not a great design nor very well made. Kid of cool to look at though! Wratchets???

I have a 1/4 and a 3/8 and the only thing I will say is they are very very thin and sometimes they will fit where other stuff wont
