I just burned up the motor in my 152.221040 hybrid table saw, any source for a motor for less than $373 that Sears Parts wants? I paid like $200 for the saw 5 years ago. thinking of just scrapping it.

any motor with the same HP, RPM, and shaft size should be OK. RPM is always ~1800 or ~3600, shaft size is usually 1/2" or 5/8"

I have the same saw. I believe the OEM is Steel City/Orion, so maybe searching that way will lead somewhere. A new motor is bound to be pretty expensive though. Have you tried taking a look at it? It might be an easy/cheap fix.

haven't torn into it, it started slowing down/losing power/making a grinding noise when free running and then tripped the breaker.

But it looks like a standard NEMA frame TEFC motor, so a replacement from Grainger might not be that bad. First I would remove it and try to fix it.

I bought one last year that had a Grainger motor on it. It's a 2 HP and works well, but the guy didn't say what he paid for it. I paid $200 for the whole shebang.

Electric motors come up on CL all the time. Expect to pay about 100 for a 1 HP 3450 RPM motor. With a thin kerf blade that's plenty of power.
