Not that specific model, but...my first table saw was a Craftsman from about 2000 that was generically similar to that one. Mine did not have the extension wings. The thing I liked at that time was price point--I was just getting into woodworking as a hobby, and they had a Craftsman Tool store (which have since disappeared) that were basically like a HD, Lowe's, etc, except they had all Craftsman stuff.
Anyway, I hated that the miter gauge was woefully incorrect, and nothing I could do would give me perfectly straight cuts if I really needed them. So when I looked for an aftermarket miter gauge, I then painfully found out that only Sears makes their miter slot in some odd size.
The ability for the model you mentioned to quick detach off the base might appeal to some, and the price point and abilities might be all some people need. It's way better than cutting stuff with sawhorses and a circ saw. And if you only need it occasionally, then get it. Otherwise, I'd recommend saving up a bit more and going with a Ridgid or something else that's a little bit of a step up.
