Neighbor gave me this complete 59 piece tap & die set and I'm wondering the quality, who made it for sears and the vintage.
I've always pieced together taps & dies and have a mixed set missing many sizes and TPI's. This seems to be what I've wanted.
EDIT Model is 9-52151

Well, I’d guess late 60s myself at the earliest and some other forum said Kromedge ended in 1986.

Thanks. The set has 1960 marked on the case and had been given that set by his late wife years ago. He was a Korean War vet who served as a diesel mechanic offshore of Korea during the war. Just trying to get the Legacy together for his daughter.

I have the same set as well...
And a metric set that's packaged just a little bit differently

Good stuff!
After all of these years, I was never motivated to upgrade from them
