On sale for 50% off at my local Sears in Hagerstown MD (Valley Mall). YMMV.

Interesting thing is that ALL the modules in stock still say "Made in the USA" on them.

I just picked up the 1/4" module a little over a week ago on clearance for $59.99. Wish I would have waited I wonder if they will price match.

In a document posted here on GJ, Sears said only the open stock ratchets will be imported. The tool sets will stay USA, for now, at least.

The modules are full USA made because they included non dual marked sockets. As far as I know, the only sockets being made overseas are the dual marked ones. The modules include the regular sockets (which I like better).

Within the past 3 months I have seen these on sale at least 3 times, now being the 4th. It is a great deal, and if the Industrial stuff was not on sale right now I would get those.

I have never seen them in stores though :/

Just bought the 1/2 Drive set and 1/4 Drive set. My local sears are out of the 3/8 drive set. Thinking about ordering offline. I really like the ratchets.

I really like the thin profile ratchets. Wish you could buy the US made ones still without having to buy all the sockets.

Those modules are an OK deal I suppose. $200 for all three including the 3 thin profile ratchets and the extensions. Maybe $80 worth of ratchets @ retail, another $20 in extensions, so $100 for the socket sets. Not a smoking deal but not horrible if you need them. I bought the 1/4" last year to use the sockets with my air ratchet exclusively, as I did not want to run the dual marked sockets on my air ratchet due to concerns I would quickly rub the laser etching away.

Also using Valpak5 and Sears2012 you can get $10 off each one ordered separately. So $40 for the 1/4 (with a really cheap filler), $55 for 3/8", and $75 for the 1/2". Making it $170 for the 3 sets.

I tried to order the 3/8 set to pick up in Hagerstown, but the Sears website went full retard - it created an invoice through Paypal, but didn't actually create an order. Seems like every time a decent deal comes up, their website borks it.

I may have mis spoke. I have never seen them personally, but have heard of others seeing them. If you are saying that they are not imported yet, all the better!

EDIT-- just found this thread, scroll down a few posts and there are pics of dual marked Chinese sockets.

Would anybody be interested in just the 1/2" ratchet? I was thinking about picking up the 1/2" module, but already have the ratchet set. I wish they sold just the sockets alone.

I want the thin profile ratchets to add to the collection but I've only ever seen one NOS US made thin profile ratchet, and that was in a hometown store. I wish I could buy the set and get US made ratchets.

I wasn't gonna.....but I did. Having the 1/2 set shipped because the local one is in shambles. Picking up the 1/4 and 3/8 sets tonight from Hagerstown. Ordered each independently using the valpak5 ans sears2012 coupons. Added a 12oz ball peen hammer as a filler......total investment was $190. Well worth it IMO. This is my new home set....I'll be selling the 82 piece industrial set I got last week.

While you're there, grab one of the pry bars I ordered and whack someone with it for borking my order (the website will just have to experience it vicariously).

if you can wait, and don't want the sockets, the 3pc thin profile goes on sale every few months for like $55 or something like that.
