I live really close to a sears. They usually have a decent amount on clearance. So I go over there and they have 33198 on clearance. 33198 is the second module of their 1500 piece set. Original price is $699. It said used, so I tried to count all the piece in the box (most were in their original packaging). So my wife says "you never buy anything for yourself, go get it before I change my mind." So I did. All the pieces were there and pretty much not used. There were two duplicates and that's ok with me.
So I also study the craftsman catalog. I know that 33300 is their first module and it's normally $649.99. However the 2010 catalog says that it's $599.99. Just recently they had an online only special of $250 off. So I went to the store and told him, I wanted it for $349.99. The manager comes over and says "yeah we'll match it."
So in two days, I got the first two modules for $500 less than normal.
They'll come in handy because I'm going to look at a 1969 chevy nova today
I was going to post this in the hot tool deals thread, but when I went to link it from sears, even though the sale was supposed to go thru the 10th, it's not there anymore.
