Craftsman toolbox door pull

I purchased a rolling Craftsman toolbox yesterday, and noticed a pull on the lower door. This door has two holes drilled on the bottom of it. One hole seems to be for the handle that is there and I'm guessing this was done by the factory because where the holes are drilled, the metal is dimpled, as if the door was stamped that way and wasn't caused by over tightening the door pulls.

I'd like to know if anyone ever seen these toolboxes with lower pulls on the door. I can't find nor have I ever seen any pictures that shows this model of tool box with pulls on the lower door.

If this toolbox DID come with pulls on the lower door, is what is on it the correct pull?

Thanks for your time and help. Chuck

That looks like a kitchen cabinet knob from the 1950s - I suspect some previous owner put it on there years ago.

Agreed - the knob is not original.

The cabinet doors are designed to be pulled open with the key, while still in the lock. It's my least favorite feature of these cabinets but necessary to allow clearance for the cabinet door when it is lifted up and out of the way.

BTW, if you haven't done so already, take a look on the inside of the drawer with the Craftsman badge (directly behind the badge) and look at the manufacturer's embossing (Advertising Metal Display Co. Chicago). Some cabinets have a two digit year embossed into the drawer. If it's there, it will be next to one of the rivets.
