DEAD - nice collection of Craftsman you have there

Much appreciated. I love these tools. I definitely plan on expanding my collection of vintage. I definitely lucked out with what I have. I couldn't imagine going out and tracking this stuff down nowadays.

Wow. You hit the mother load there with all that Craftsman vintage stuff. Thanks for posting. I have been trying to get a lot of Craftsman to add to what I already had, and it has taken quite a long time. You are right, it would be hard piece by piece.

Ask and ye shall receive.

Not even sure what this is.

Little wrench drawer, most Made in USA Craftsman

Big wrench drawer, mainly Craftsman and Proto

You have a bushing driver kit. Very handy tool!

The 1 5/16" Craftsman Combo wrench is the first I've ever seen. Nor have I seen that style of Craftsman torque wrench. I'm not saying they're uncommon or rare, just that I've never seen one - and I have a LOT of Craftsman.

Overall, you have a fantastic collection of vintage Craftsman and Snap-on tools. I would recommend starting your own thread about this acquisition and post some detailed pictures. There's a good chance you have some very desirable/collectible items!

New member here (in the process of refurbishing a 50+yr. old three drawer Craftsman) and I tried to send a a PM to a member re: date do manufacture. However, I was unable to without at least one (forum) post. This post should resolve.

Loads of valuable info here on Craftsman and loads of other topics.

A lot of old Craftsman sets from the early 1960s included this this box. I guess I got a little carried away.

Here's just a couple of what I've acquired. Unfortunately a lot of em I get are pretty rotted at the bottom from sitting on the floor, condensation n concrete sweat I'd guess. Least they look good on the shop shelves.

I found a decent Craftsman Crown carry box yesterday and cleaned it up today. I took some pictures of my other boxes while I had the camera out. The earlier box is ugly on the outside but has a set of =v= tools mostly original to the box on the inside. The third box holds spare =v= tools.

Holy Crimony. I just found this thread. This stack is my favorite Cman stack by far. Built like a tank and has a ton of great features. I would think the Crown logo top chest is more rare than the Heritage ones although I do wish I had a match. Just need a Crown 8 drawer roller and a Heritage 10 drawer chest now.

I have that stack, just opposite. Heritage on top and Crown on the bottom.

My favorite Craftsman tool box. This is the box the Super Deluxe Amber handled Crafty BE socket set came in in 1939 (thanks to info provided by (Zkling).

Just got a key for it and thinking of the best way to maintain the origional patina without removing the stenciling. There is some surface rust that I want to clean up and may just spray with WD40 when needed.

Great box! I'm searching (so far in vain) for that very box as I have the Deluxe tools to fill it. A very difficult one to find indeed.

After I finished cleaning up the new Crown box, I started filling it with =v= tools. I’ll need to find a few more drive tools.

I am just now getting around to making my first post after looking through so many Garage Journal threads over the last few years. My favorites are the Wall of Craftsman, Old Gray/Red Craftsman Toolboxes, and Vintage Toolboxes threads. I’ve been around tools all of my life and have inherited so many. I am now in the process of trying to organize all of them for the next generation. Someday, I’ll try to take pictures of the contents. Here are a few of the Craftsman toppers, rollers, and hand boxes that I have collected over the years.

Attachment 1…..Craftsman 65013. It was in such bad shape when I got it. It’s missing the tray.

Attachment 2…..Craftsman 6512

Attachment 3…..Sears/Craftsman 6500. It has part of the original label left.

Attachment 4…..Sears/Craftsman 6520 Tombstone

Attachment 5…..Craftsman 6516 Tombstone. My pride and joy. This is my deceased father’s He bought it in 1957 as he started his career as a helicopter mechanic at the largest helicopter school in north Texas. This was his go to travel box.

Attachment 6…..Roller # 1 (January 1973.) All original.

Attachment 7…..Roller # 2 (July 1975) I restored this one. It was in bad shape. I literally pulled this one out of a barn.

Attachment 8…..Roller # 3 (No date) I restored this one too. Such bad shape. I want 2 more like this. Lol

Attachment 9…..Topper # 1. (Early 1960’s) This was my wife’s Grandfather’s road box. It sits on top of a Huot roller.

Attachment 9…..Topper # 2. (March 1972)

Attachment 10…..Topper # 3. (March 1977)

Attachment 11…..Topper # 4. (March 1977) I want 2 more of these

Attachment 12…..Craftsman 1958 (I think this was made by Remline) This is my pride and joy. It was my father’s. He bought this brand new in 1958. It has a lot of V series Craftsman tools.
