Had my daughter and son in law over for dinner tonight. Instead of bringing wine, they brought me this. I raised her well!!

Nice! Complete with vintage correct catalogs too! The box looks like it’s in great condition.

I picked this up a while ago, a heritage Craftsman 10 drawer, at the final day of an estate sale, marked $25 but half off. It was in good condition, but missing the lid. I initially bought it as it still had the little sliding shelf in the middle drawer, but I had no idea what to deal with the rest. Outlaw suggested I use it as a mid box(!) but I am only 5'7" and not only would I not be able to see into the top box, but my shop has a ceiling of about 5'10". But after a while I realized it would be perfect under my little lathe:

Great pickup in that box! Even at $25 it is worth that in parts. I like that you can still use it!

Was Wandering the flea Market this last Sunday and scored this lil' Darlin for only $10 (it wasn't my best find this weekend I also picked up another DeWalt Radial Saw for $45) But for the price I couldn't pass it up. Ive also been entertained by the previous owners spelling not sure how many of you have any Vise Gripes But I can store them!

Until I snagged the 1915ish wood Bonney box, I agree!

I missed the wood Bonneys! Can you post again or give me the post number? Seeing Bonney down my way is tantamount to seeing the Loch Ness monster.

The bottom drawer model was I think $10-20 more expensive that the just bottom cabinet space version in 1957. I would rather have bottom drawers than a shelf.

Nice find! 12d rollers are difficult to find and highly coveted amongst us Craftsman folks. Nice stash of tools too (I check out the GS thread). Congrats!

Thanks and good to know. Any idea what it's worth? I didn't really want it, just the tools, but I got it for another $25 so I had to take it. It definitely shows use and has plenty of nicks and scratches and some light surface rust inside the drawers which I believe would clean up, but no rot.

They did indeed have a gray red 12 over 12 combo. This clip is from 75. I've seen a couple of 12d top chests for sale, both in the 125-150 range but they get scooped up almost immediately. I've never seen a 12d gray/red bottom chest available but they are out there.

NYB: I hate appraising things, the market is has so many variables. That era is out of my specific interest but I did see a 12 over 12 set with with that logo on MarketPlace for 50 bucks. I think I saw it within 30 mins of it being posted and it was sold by the time I responded. That's an outlier, they're worth more than that. If I was trying to sell that I'd put 175 on it and see what happens. 1983 isn't really collector material for me but there's some younger guys out that think that's the stone age and are into it. Even 125 would be a great return on your investment.

Holy Crimony. I just found this thread. This stack is my favorite Cman stack by far. Built like a tank and has a ton of great features. I would think the Crown logo top chest is more rare than the Heritage ones although I do wish I had a match. Just need a Crown 8 drawer roller and a Heritage 10 drawer chest now.

I know this is an old post but I hated you then and still hate you now [emoji23] those are hard to find here in the northwest. Anyone in the northwest have one they want to sell?

Wait , did someone say 12 drawer? I paid $60 for this one but that was quite below market in my area[emoji51] I also picked up this 9 drawer lower roller from Rileysan . The top chest is dated 12/76 and the badge is correct. Even came with both keys. I had to polish the roller to even get close to looking like a matching pair

Also picked up this early heritage machinist chest at a swap meet for $8. No rust and just some shelf wear. Yes I did talk the seller down on the price [emoji41]

You could have paid the full boat masking tape price and still felt good about it, but well done!

Yeah, if you ever see Smoke in action bargining with a vendor at a swap, it is really impressive. He is merciless.

Beemer pointed it out to me...then when I was talking to the seller, the seller mentioned it was heavy and didnt want to take it home. So I offered $8 :bounce: what can i say ? I am cheap.

This 8 drawer was a good find! It looks oily so hopefully this helped minimize rust. I am looking for one of these myself.

Is there a secret to removing the drawers on these?
Just picked up a far less desirable 3 drawer and would like to take them out for a good cleaning.
