I have a 40” Toolbox set I need to sell. Just wondering if I’m in the right asking price range. Opinions?

Craftsman 40” Ball Bearing w/Grip-latch

- 7 Drawer Top Chest (16” deep)
- 1 Drawer Intermediate Chest (18” deep)
- 13 Drawer Rolling Chest (18” deep)
- 16” 6 Drawer Side Cabinet (18” deep)

$600? Maybe more?

The Harbor Freight US General 44” Top Chest, Bottom Chest and side cabinet set runs about $1000 new. They do not offer an intermediate chest.

Ask $700 for the top and bottom. Maybe get the 700, but be prepared to accept $600.

Sell the side separately for $150.

That box is 18 inches deep on the bottom and 16 inches on top. Even with the side box I think $500.00 is a fair price to ask. $700.00? No way.

I'm not sure people will pay $600 for just the top and bottom. I have seen those at Lowes for $589 as a combo, in the store floor.

Menards also has them for $680 with the 11% rebate.

Thats not the same box. No where close. This was part of Craftsman's premium line back in the day. The step between what would now be the 2000 and 3000 series. Its slotted in between that.

This box has posi-latch drawers and premium slides rated for 125lbs which the 2000 series do not also.

It should have slides similar to this..

I'll give you half your asking price for the middle and side. Split me shipping to Chicago then you can fire-sale the rest for cheap.

The middle box is hard to find there was a member here looking for one about 2 years ago

I think there was another one more recently.

It's about the same set up I have but I have a second side box. People have money to spend right now and they are buying stuff.

I bought 3 Premium line chests from Sears a few years ago and they were much different than the OP's. Mine have thicker handles and "Lifetime Warranty" (which is probably worthless nowadays).
