Has anyone noticed there seems to be a lot of new sellers with Craftsman tools for auction on Ebay.

Some of the prices so far seem to be pretty good, but after doing some searches there seems to be a dozen or so new sellers selling the same thing..........makes me wonder.

Sears has been wholesaling tools for a few years now, getting rid of old USA stock in their warehouses, is what it looks like to me. I have found lots of decent tool buys on EBAY for C-man USA tools.

I picked up one of the 150 piece mechanic's sets that Costco was selling for $99, for $55 on eBay

I think there are a lot of people who break up sets they get on sale.

This!

Even in the pre internet days, I can remember guys at the flea markets breaking up and selling the large Craftsman tool sets by smaller lots and pieces.

Not everybody is looking for a large set nor does Sears sell complete smaller sets of their sockets and other items many times. Ebay fills that niche void for many.

The other thing I've noticed about these "new" sellers is that they are all "China" based and one seller I was watching has either had all his auctions removed or removed all his auctions.........makes me wonder if the new sellers are genuine or????

There are many genuine sellers on Ebay. I have sold some tools because it was cheaper to buy a full set and sell the extras instead of just buying those items by themselves. I live in WA State.

Takes a little time but sometimes I can get things for a better price or free because others need the items I don't and they get a better price than in the store.

Anyone need a 3/4 ratchet and sockets?
