Craftsman Trimmer - Edger Attachment

I have a 4 cycle Craftsman WS4200 30cc trimmer

I would like to get an edger attachment......

CMZAS4JED looks to be the right part number.......however it's $99-$109

Any other options?

A better option would be to take the guard off and get you some florescent orange string that's easier to see.

For that kind of money, I'd rather upgrade the trimmer with a Darwin Grip.

I found an open box Craftsman on ebay for $50 shipped

I was surprised the edging blade did not have a edge on it, wasn't sharp at all

Some research online says to leave it 'blunt' to rip and tear and some say to sharpened the blade

Correct, you do not sharpen them. They will wear and taper a bit naturally but you want the blunt profile to make the edge. I use the heavy duty Stihl ones (3.8 mm vs standard 2.4 mm) as they leave a nice well defined edge.
