Craftsman universal max access socket set

Has anyone used this set? How's the quality? It's made in China which can mean an early death for the tool. Is the pass thru system really worth the money for it?

I have a set that was given to me for Christmas a few years back. They seem to round off fasteners easily. I didn't toss it or give it away for the sole reason of possibly needing the pass thru at some point.

I just picked up the other style set in chrome. It has 6pt sockets instead of the spline. I haven't used it yet but it seems to be decent quality. As in its not bad for cheap. It seems like it would be handy to have but I wouldn't spend a ton of money on a set.

The pass thru is worthwhile, the universal spline sockets are gimmicky in my opinion. The only time I've ever used them was on external torx fasteners when I didn't have the proper sockets on hand. Get the chrome 6 point set. FWIW, I like the ratchet that comes with the universal set better than the chrome ratchet, either one will work with either type of socket.

The Cman spline sockets, both regular and pass-thru, and spline wrenches will do pretty what Sears says, EXCEPT they won't turn even slightly rounded fasteners. And they don't grab like my other spline sockets will.
