So I recently acquired 45 of these totes.

I have some ideas for what I want to do with some of them, but was wondering what other creative ideas other on the forum has might of utilized these totes for?

There’s no lid, but they do lock together to create a lid so to speak.

The link for one of these for more info.

I use mine along with other Versastack/Dewalt Tstak components. I have one that houses my track saw and accessories, another for my 7-1/4" circular saw, and a couple loaded up for jobsites with shims, caulking, bulk screws, etc. I currently just modified one and put a hanger bracket on it ,for use in the lift we have on the job. My cordless impact hangs off of it, hardware and supplies in the basket and by being outside the cage of the lift, gives me just a bit more room to move around. I could see someone getting creative with PVC/Cardboard tube/plywood dividers and having screwdrivers/nutdrivers/drills/impact,pliers within the confines of one crate. For bulk storage I'd suggest the Dewalt 4 wheel carts that this system locks into. It makes moving a stack a breeze. The trolley cart is very useful too, but for storage of boxes I'm not using daily/on the jobsite the (cheaper) 4 wheel cart excels.

So, these different systems are interchangeable? I have to look into that base when I get read to stack to store stuff!

Yes the Dewalt TSTAK is compatible with the Craftsman VERSASTACK. When I first decided to get a mobile system ,Milwaukee did not offer drawers, so I bought both Dewalt Toughstack and Dewalt TSTAK/Craftsman VERSASTACK to see which I could utilize best. The smaller units with multiple drawers worked out best for me. The Dewalt TOUGHSTACK was limited in drawers, so I sold that system off completely.
