Craftsman vice

Bought an old Craftsman vice, would like to know who produced it?
No506-51840 approximately 4" jaws.
Which vice would be the better vice, Cman or 4A(previous post). Thanks, Bob

Pretty sure this was made by Columbian. Other looks like a generic Asian import. Neither is in the upper echelon of vise strength, but if I had to choose I'd pick the Cman. If you remove the sliding jaw, you'll probably see the jaw support on the front of the main body is hollow. It won't take a lot of abuse, so don't beat on it, fairly common to find it broken off on these models of Cman vises.
