Hello Everyone,
I would like some info on this old vise I picked up recently. Anyone know when it was made? Another manufacturer make it for Sears? Value? I appreciate any input. Thanks

JC: are you looking to sell it? what more can you tell us about that vise's history or it's use? my guess is it was made by Starrett for Craftsman in the 50's

There are acres of information on Craftsman's 519X series vises over on the "Vises" thread...

The 5197 is a 4 1/2" clamper built by ??????...

Here is the catalog page provided by Outlaw, our resident maven of Craftsman minutiae...
