NEXT: besides no pictures was there a reason for starting this thread or a question in the near future or maybe you are telling the membership that that Craftsman vise is yours?

good luck and I can't recall which one that is, but i'm guessing a MADE IN USA one about 3.5 inch wide jaws produced in the mid 70's. also guessing it's RED unless it's been painted.

That's a $10-$20 vise at garage sales around here.

I agree that I would not go out of my way to spend $50 on it. I guess it depends on what your Market is but I'm quite certain that if you're patient you'll find a much better deal.

Biggest vise at the box stores is usually $79.99 plus tax and that’s waaay better than any of those. Just sayin.

Probably just a mis-print---that's "391-***", so made in Japan. 5-inch jaws. Pretty decent vise, and a fair deal at $50

Ex: I DON'T know all those small Craftsman vise model #'s, but i do know the made in Japan Craftsmans are built very well and a lot better than today's vises.

i was more thinking the OP started a thread with no pictures and not one question an we are all answering what WE THINK he wants to know.

if that vise is really a 5 inch old Made in Japan Craftsman and it's in good shape $50 would be reasonable price around here.

Next: did we answer your questions since we are mind readers? sorry if I sound like I'm a bit sarcastic, but your first post didn't have a lot of information.

add pictures and questions if you like or maybe the vise sold while we were talking.

cheers
