Not sure they were ever made by Vise-Grip.

I have some..they were.. Looking to buy another pr..and since Sears has closed some stores..have to drive out of my way to get to one...just wanted to be sure before i go... But now i read Stanley owns Vise Grip..and now owns Craftsman... so hopefully they will continue to make them... I guess they also own Irwin..and a slew of other name brands now... Stanley is getting big enough to invade Russia....lol.

Yes, Irwin still makes the Craftsman version. The bulk packaging that they arrive in at the stores says Irwin on it.

There are still some of the old Petersen Vise Grips in good condition, out there in the secondary market. If you watch flea markets, auctions, yard sales and auctions, you might be able to grab a good one or two

I thought so, the fact they are totally identical to the Irwin ones in black and red instead of blue and yellow made me think that. I think the cushion grip hand saw is made by Irwin too, just without the extra notches.
