Is their a model number stamped or cast in anywhere?

Mine just say 5 1/2 and Made in USA on the body with "5 1/2 Reversible Jaw" on the jaw.

LB-1911...And you sir, are correct, 1990's vise mfg. by Columbian.

For all the old guys, like me who didn't know what "SWAG" meant. Scientific wild-*** guess is an American English slang term meaning a rough estimate made by an expert in the field, based on experience and intuition.

Dad gave me the 4-1/2" version when I bought my house in '93. The jaws kept breaking at the screws, so when I could no longer get replacement jaws from Sears I sold it at a garage sale. I think I sold it for more than it cost new.

I have one like that, it has the 5-digit model number cast in the side, pretty good little vices.
