Hello everyone! My dad passed away last March and while going thru his belongings I found a Craftsman vise Model 0595. I would very much like to get this back in working order but know very little about these things. The jaws on the vise do not open when you turn the screw - but they do close when you screw it in. I believe something is missing- possibly some type of collar, spring or set screw, but I'm not certain.
I have attached pics of this device in hopes someone can educate me on what I need to get to make it functional again. I found the model number on the head of the screw in pic 4. Hopefully I read it correctly as it was difficult to see. The jaws are 3 1/2" wide, the screw measures 15 1/4" end to end and in my opinion it is either a 5 or 6 " vise . Not sure what other information I can provide but will be happy to do so.
Appreciate any assistance you can provide. Thanks.

So you are missing one digit from the end. They are 519X vises. You should be able to look in the catalog to figure out which number you have.

You are correct! Upon further review ( some additional wire brush )
the number is actually 05195. I would like to find a schematic to identify the missing part.
