Before Black Friday I went shopping for a tool kit and decided on a 303pc set, then it dissapeared off their webpage. I bought a 200pc set, just came yesterday, on a good deal. Now the 303pc set is back on the sight and I'm wondering if I should exchange them. Is the quality of the tools the same on each kit though?

The set in question:

The set I bought:

No, that one is pretty much a scam. Sears has known that bundle's broken for a while now, and hasn't fixed it. If you order it, you'll only get the check engine light. A new guy at work ordered it and fought Sears for almost four hours about it.

I agree. That looks like a bad page in the sense that two tools, or in this case a tool and a tool set are linked as one but in reality, it should just be the ODBII scanner.

Bad code writing or sloppy work by the website techs and worker bees.

It is the Sears site tho, which by far is one of the least navigable, least accurate and most confusing tools sites out there. LOL.

At one time it actually was the 303 piece set plus the code reader with a special bundle price. Then they "ran out" of the tool set, and their "bundle" is now just one item. It's almost blatantly false advertisement.

Something in me wants to try and buy the set and confront Sears when they screw up, just so I can get a hell of a deal. That seems like a lot of effort though, considering I'd have to return the 200pc set first. Then I'd get screwed if they won't budge on the 303pc set and I can't buy the 200pc set back at my original sale price.
